I believe Theodore was the brother of Norman Eddy Griggs Cowen and John Mathewson Cowen of Conewango. Their grandfather, John (originally of Rhode Island), settled in Conewango NY. Their father, Eddy, and the rest of his family remained in Tolland, CT. Eddy may have had a brother John who also settled in Conewango.
