Burdett Eaton b.1858 settled Cattaraugus Co.NY Y-DNA

The direct line male descendents of Hiram & Harriet Eaton should be looking into the Y-DNA project of the Eaton Family Assoc. Hiram was the son of Charles Eaton(c.1800 NY) and wife Esther Olin. I, and several other researchers have for many years tried to learn the ID of Charles' ancestor but we can only guess based on clues as we were never able to find proof. Hiram had 4 sons including Burdett b.1858 who had at least 6 sons and settled in Cattaraugus County. I have sponsored the DNA test of a cousin who is a direct line Eaton Male to the Thos Eaton of Tompkins County NY about this same time. I have guessed that this Charles could be a nephew of Thos but more likely a cousin descended out of the Elijah Eaton line. Any of you females of this line could sponsor your direct line male cousin(or share the cost with him) in the taking of the Y-DNA test. It is quite simple. All the person has to do is use the special swabs sent to them and brush them along their inside cheek and seal them in recepticals sent to them in a kit and return to the lab for process. Contact me if you are interested and I will be happy to send you more info. Eileen frngdwlr@mhtc.net
