My name is Daniel Sweet and I am a student at Ohio Wesleyan University. I am currently taking a class in the Rare Books and Archives section of the University Library, and stumbled across an interesting letter. I began transcribing the letter and doing research on the author. After a google search, your post came up. The author of the letter is Noah Reed Lisle of New York. It is indicated on the margin that he was born in 1773. I believe this man is the same man your post mentions. If you wish I can send you scans of the letter, along with a transcription, or answer any other questions you might have. Seeing as your post is from a few years ago, I hope that you are able to receive this reply.
