Just trying to clarify some confusion I have seen on this board regarding the middle initial of George Green.
I clearly realize that census documents contain a lot of errors. You're right about transcribed records, I don't like to rely on transcriptions of documents made by others as they can contain errors too. However, I have copies of the original legal documents stated in my prior post, they are quite legible and there is no mistake that George's middle initial is "M".
I have been leery sharing documents and photos in the past. I often find the ones I receive are very poorly scanned images and many times very illegible. When possible I do all of my own research, unless going through a government agency; I scan all of my documents in high resolution and do not resize them for email purposes. It's very sad when you spend a lot of time and money in gas traipsing all over God's creation to gather copies of original documents, cemetery records and take photos of the headstones to receive such poorly scanned images or images that have been resized for email purposes and are unreadable.
