School in Ward 5 Binghamton

I am looking for the true name and information of a school that was on the South side of Binghamton. On Penn Ave. My father called the area "Rossville" and he called the school Rossville School. I found a reference to a school as District #5? and also a Longfellow School? I know it has been torn down and at one time, for a short time, there was a Giant Supermarket there which is now gone, moved to the corner of Vestal Ave.
