Book recommendation for New York/Bronx researchers

For anyone researching New York City or the Bronx I recommend reading “In My Father’s Bakery: A Bronx Memoir” by Marvin Korman. His book is about growing up in the Bronx in the 20s, 30s, and 40s, the politics, the landmarks, baseball, the fights, and all the real-life characters of the neighborhood. A great book for anyone who wants to get the flavor of what life was like in the city at that time.
