carol, yes i am certain. Walter Cooper (3rd great grandfather), Samuel Cooper (2nd great grandfather). Just a thought but your coopers and my coopers could be a parallel line a great uncle or cousin. My Walter was 74 years old in the 1855 new york census. The trail grows cold after the 1855 census. I can not find him buried in allegany county, or on the 1860 census. Steve.
