I need help with my research. According to the 1865 census Independence/Whitesville, Allageny county NY, WIlliam G. Swift was born 1801 in Ulster. I find him in Independence/Whitesville, Allegany NY 1840-1880. He had at least three wives, Margaret Conover, Rosanna Smith Larrabee, and Harriet E. Smith. William and Harriet's daughter Rosa May born 1867 married William Harold Adams born 1861 somewhere in NY They were married in 1892. their children James W. born 1893 Genesse Forks, Pennsylvania, Laura born 1894 Hickox, Pennsylvania and Stephen G.born 1906 Hornellsville, Stuben county NY. William moved his family to Hillsborough county Florida,where they all lived and died except William. Family history is that he was so grieved over the loss of Rosa May in 1915 that he returned to Sweden where his father had come from. William H. and Rosa May are my great grandparents. I will appreciate any information on this family. Thanks Nancy
