Looking for a Williams family that might be a descendent of Roger Williams of Rhode Island (but not yet proven) that lived near Alfred Station or just over the county line in Steuben County. My g-g-grandmother Mary Lucinda Williams, b. March 24, 1832 was the second wife of John R. Shaw of Alfred, NY. They were married March 30, 1851 in Alfred, NY. I haven't been able to track down her family. I would appreciate any light you might be able to shed on this elusive family.
