I have information on two brothers that came from Johnstown, New York to Black Creek Corners sometime in the 1830's. I believe they started a glove making business.
I have information on the two: Thomas Carpenter b. 1805 and Ezekiel Carpenter b. 1817.

Have census information about two brothers and their families who moved from Western N.Y. to Licking County, Ohio in the 1850's. Thomas (b. 1805) and Laura Carpenter (Thomas' first wife died in 1845 and was named Elizabeth), with children Thomas N. (b. circa 1838), George A. (b. circa 1844), Charles L. (b. circa 1848), and Elizabeth (b. circa 1850).

Ezekiel B. Carpenter (b. circa 1817) and wife Luceba with children David M. Carpenter (b. circa 1844) and Orpha J. (b. circa 1849)

These brothers also had an older brother James Carpenter (b. circa 1801) who moved to Hocking County, Ohio in 1842 with his wife Nancy and their children William D. (b.circa 1824), Mercy L. (b.circa 1827) James Elizar (b. Jan 18, 1830), twin sister Louisa Eliza (b. Jan 18, 1830), Elizabeth, (b. circa 1832), Hulda (b. circa 1836), Sarah (b.circa 1839), Oscar (b. circa 1841), Nelson (b. 1843 in Ohio), and Phebe (b. circa 1847 in Ohio)

I have a little information on all these families and estate records for James who died in 1865 in Ward Township, Hocking County, Ohio. I also have much information on his son James Elizar Carpenter who moved to Illinois and then to Kansas.

Anyone related or interested in information please contact me at : truck50jc@aol.com
