I'm looking for information on an ancestor of mine, Cornelius Hovey. He was born Oct. 10, 1806. Married Alida Hemstreet on May 5, 1833, had 6 children, and died Jan. 22, 1845. He was buried in the Watervliet Cemetery, Reformed Church in America, Gibbonsville congregation. I have seen him mentioned in the History of the city of Watervliet, NY, 1630-1910, as "one of the pioneer shoe merchants". Does anyone recognize this family and who his parents might be? Thanks, Diane Tappen Stammel
