Mary Monahan b 24 Aug 1876 NY d 9 Fed 1920 Detroit

I am searching for the parents of my great grandmother, Mary Monahan, born in New York state on 24 Aug 1876 according to family tradition. She had a brother who died in Boston (family tradition), and her parents were named John Monahan and Mary O'Brien according to her 1901 marriage certificate from Buffalo, New York.

Family tradition says that either she or some of her family were from Albany.

Mary Monahan married Oscar Weidemann in 1901 and they lived in Erie, Pennsylvania and moved to Detroit, where she appears in two censuses giving a younger age, and listing her parents as both born in Ireland. She was murdered in Detroit on 9 Feb 1920 by her husband.

My best theory so far is that her possible father and possible siblings William, Edward, Joseph, and May appear on the 1880 census in Albany. In that census her possible father is a stone cutter. Two of these possible siblings died in Boston (their death records list their mother as O'Brien), and it appears their mother died in 1879 in Albany. But Mary is not listed with them.

Any help would be appreciated.
