Thanks so much for your response! I knew that Assunta died when my mother was a young girl. Tyvm for providing the date. I'm sure that you're aware of Albany's rather colorful history. I understand that Roberto died sometime in the late 1920's, but not in Albany. He suffered "a stroke" which is sometimes a euphemism for "gunshot in the head inflicted by a cop on the take'" He lingered for awhile and was hospitalized in Poughkeepsie where he eventually died. I believe somewhere between 1927 and 1930 is correct. I no longer reside in Albany, I'm now residing at the Jersey shore, but I do return to Albany on occasion and I will take your advice.
