Christopher Lake

During the Revolutionary War The Lake Family held property on what became the battlefield for the Battle of Bennington. Their property was burned by Americans to stop the British from resupplying food. The Lake family tried to stop the torching of their farm and shot back at Americans, thus becoming Tories. To avoid further problems with their neighbors, they joined the British Army. Their property was located on Little White Creek, Albany Co., NY very close to what became the Vermont State line. Now area is in Washington County, NY. They were part of the Battle of Saratoga where Christopher Lake was captured. I'd like to know more about this family. Can anyone assist? Later the family insisted they were mistreated by Americans. Is there any record of what happened?
