Hello Veronica, Thank you for taking the time to give me all of that informationl. Unfortunately, I already had all of it, including the websites. I'm sure you accidentally typed in 1955 in your reply, as it is the 1855 census I'm looking for. I realize the area and population had changed immensely in 100 years, but to my understanding, the area in which my ancestor lived in at the time was called West Troy, which became Watervliet. As far as looking for the census goes, I'm not asking anyone to spend an inordinant amount of time researching this for me. As you said, I can order the record from FHL. My hope is that someone who just happens to have the census printed out at their home, could take a few minutes to browse through and see if they find the information. I know when I'm printing or downloading things, I like to look at the entire document to see if any other family names are relevant in my research. Thanks, again!
