Pat - what a sleuth you are. You must be doing this for a very long time. Funny thing is, in the 1880 census for Sidney Knights that you found, one of the things I had noted was that they had neighbors right next door with the name Jotham and Sarah (could be Sally, the name seems to interchange in my searchs) in their 70's. Also a few doors away was an Ashley Wood along with some other Wood's. I had checked on this thinking that maybe Emma was a neighbor and that's how she met George Knight, but couldn't find a connection. Now through your research I am thinking that she visited her Grandparents Jotham and Sally and that's how they met. Don't you think? I never thought to look for an Emily Wood because of my father's notes so Emma must be her nickname. I have to go now but I will get back to you. Thanks so much, Dodie
