Sparks Baptist Church Plans Musical Night

Tonight, being the last Sunday evening of the month, will be observed by the Sparks Baptist Church by the giving of a musical program by the Choral society of the church. The Easter music will be reproduced by the same choir and orchestra.

The Rev. Walter E. Tanner, the pastor, will deliver a short address on the subject, "The Symphony of God".

In 1912, I see a notice of a dissolution of a partnership between Walter E. Tanner and E. L. Warren, of the firm Tanner and Warren, Room 4, Gazette Building, Reno, NV. Walter's address is listed as Reno, Warren's address is listed as Sparks.

1910 census, Sparks Ward 3, Washoe, Nevada
Edwin L Warren 46 brakeman RR
Cathrine Warren 32
Elizabeth A Warren 6/12

I see a story dated 7/9/1911 in which Walter would give a talk on Carrie Nation, who apparently had recently died- he was personally known to Carrie Nation.

The pulpit in the Baptist church has been permanently supplied by the selection of Rev. Walter E. Tanner, whose family will shortly arrive here.
