My grandfather was a terrible rogue and lived double (or even triple) lives...My grandmother (his second wife) had him charged with bigamy after my dad toldf his third wife that grandma and grandpa were still married. Betty Ridenour would have been his fifth (known)"wife".
A few weeks ago I received copies of the mariage license and certificate but it is somewhat inconclusive....Although the James Peck on the marriage certificate listed his age as 36 years (while my grandfather was about 56 at that time) it was probably him. This marriage was later raised as an issue in subsequent probate issues regarding his fourth and sixth wives.
