hi Carol, thanks for replying to my message. There are a lot of Joshua Hewitts floating about in the UK and the first one married in Grappenhall cheshire is not one of mine. My Joshua was born and bred in West Derby and married twice in West Derby, his first wife died and he then married my grandmother, his fathers name was Henry and his moms name was Ellen also from Liverpool.
All the rest of the names apart from the first one are my family every one of them. but the first one John bought 1840 Warrington isnt mine even though his parents are Joshua and Ellen, ive got the family Bible at home with all the family, every one of them all with dates of births
bapts and even marriages, so im certain that the first one John isnt mine. But the Thomas Hewitt ive been looking for is the one born 9 January 1858, and im now certain that he didnt come to the USA or Canada, I cant be exactly certain, but ive had various researchers looking for him,
without success, no signs at all of him, and im convinced
that he must have gone somewhere else, but where, thats the question.
But its real good of you to reply to me, thanks a bundle
you meet such nice helpful people in family history dont you?
Thanks again TED.
