I found Robert York in the 1910 Census in California living with his Grandmother (Mary A. Allen) and his mother (Rose A. Manley)in California.
I found him again in the 1920 Census living with his step-father, Alfred Edwards and his mother, Rose Edwards and my mother, Mary Jane Edwards in Nevada.
The next time he is mentioned is in my Great grandmother's obituary, (Mary McCoy) and he is listed as a surviving grandson living in Nevada.
Mary A. Swindell married Bode Allen in September 5, 1881 in Nye County, Nevada. Rose (Allen) Manley Edwards is her daughter. When Bode died, she was with Robert S. Calvin and had 2 daughters with him: Helen and Gertrude. She later became the wife of Peter McCoy who was 17 years younger than she. She outlived 2 out 3 husbands and 7 out of 8 children. I was privileged to know her and lived with her for a while in the 40's and then we moved to California and she remained in Nevada and passed away in February 1950.
This dissertation is to help me find out something about Robert York as he is my mother's half brother.
