Heflin/Lawrence 1947 marriage look up

I need to find the date and place of my parents' marriage. My dad died in 2001 and my mother is too sick to remember anything except she thought the name of the town started with an "M". They drove from northern CA probably to the Lake Tahoe/Reno area or not too far from there. Names are Edward Harold Heflin and Clella Jeanette Lawrence. Married probably early 1947 as I was born 01Dec1947. Can anyone help me?
