Hello, I am sorry to suggest this, but have you found or recently read your grandfather's obit? Is your mother living? Did she have an obit? It would hopefully say where surviving siblings and relatives are living.
The time period is a difficult one to research.
I found Thurman/Therman in Fayette, PA in the 1930 census but that doesn't help me to locate his children, without more info.
You could try to contact the local public library where he died in Maryland and ask them to help you locate an obit.
