He was about 68 years of age. Almost everyone in this section knew and esteemed Lee YUEN. He was one of the oldest pioneers in this section of the state. When Candelaria first sprung into existence over a third of a century ago, LEE was with the rush and opened up his "Washee House." He personally knew Borax SMITH and other notables of that old bonanza camp and was one of the last to leave the old camp when she sank to sleep. LEE made a fortune during his life but it went with a free and lavish hand. LEE performed his mission in life in his humble manner. He was big hearted and generous and many a prospector and wanderer over the desert can thank LEE for the price that took the wrinkles from beneath his belt. He has climbed his last range and entered the celestial flowery kingdom of eternity. May his ashes and the ashes of his honorable ancestors rest in peace. Notify Administrator about this message?
