Happy Hunting!
My Gr-grandfather was John Willim Truran b/8 Oct 1840 Redruth, Cornwall, ENG; m/9 Aug 1862 Elizabeth Jane Thomas; d/15 Dec 1893 Gorham, Russell, KS.
Elizabeth was b/10 Feb 1841 Cornwall Co., ENG; d/25 Apr 1910 Gorham. They both are buried at Winterset Cemetery, Gorham.
John's parents were Mathew Truran b/18 Jul 1807 Cornwall Co., ENG; m/8 Jul 1835 Elizabeth Tonkin; d/13 Feb 1845 Truro, Cornwall, ENG.
Elizabeth was b/6 Mar 1806 Cornwall Co., ENG; d/2 Jun 1867 Redruth, Cornwall, ENG.
My John William and family came across the pond about 1871-1872 and stayed in Connecticut for a while then homesteaded south of Gorham. Do any of these folks sound familiar to you?
Teresa
