I am endeavoring to locate a death date for one Martin Johnson (born circa 1855 KS).
On 9-2-1884 in Humboldt County, NV he married Margaret 'Maggie' Ellen Grover Casner (a widow with 3 small children).
Maggie remarried 10-9-1889 so presumably Martin died prior to that date.
My first inclination is that he died in Humboldt County.
Does NV have a statewide death index prior to statehood? Or are deaths recorded county by county for that time frame?
Does anyone reading this message board have information on this Martin Johnson.
