Hi Marge. I finally got to the Historical Society today and got an ACTUAL copy of the handwritten census page for Isaac and Phebe/Phoebe in 1880. I did'nt have time to look for the 1900 census. Then I started re-reading and thinking about your post. You seemed to be more interested in the descendants....A lot of times helping people search here in Nevada(the climate would have been extremely harsh in those days. And it is now but we have indoor heating and air conditioning!)I find the descendants went to California. So I decided to check the California death index. I only entered the last name and place of birth:NEVADA. I think there were 11 hits and I recognized some of the names from the 1900 census in Lincoln Co. Let me know if you have a link to this site. If you do, and you find someone whose death record you want, there are some online mailing lists at rootsweb with volunteers who do death transcriptions. From there you could find the wife's maiden name and you can look up births on the birth index thereby progressing forward to live people. Let me know if you need any assistance. I would like to send you the copy of the 1880 and 1900(if I ever get it)census. Then you would have a "primary source" document. They only charge a quarter a copy at the historical society.
