At this point, I don't have any more on Ami or other Nuttles. However, I did find something interesting in the 1860 census.
In the 1860 census for Milan, Erie Co., Ohio, L. Sayles is 71, born Rhode Island, farmer; with S. A. 51 NY; John Nuttle 17 OH; and Sarah Sayles 6 OH.
I think this might be Sarah Nuttle Sayles with her husband; and I think John might be the son of Ami, shown as William, age 7, in the 1850 census.
I have not found Ami in the 1860 census, nor either of his presumed children (William John? 1845 and Cora/Cord/Cara 1864) after 1870.
