Clement Nutter was my gggrandfather and I have some additional information from "A Portrait and Biographical Record of Putnam County (OH)" from 1896.

Clement was born near Dover, DE in 1813, moved to Fairfield, OH in 1844. He married Cordelia and they had 9 children: William, Sarah, Blythe, John, Charles C. (my ggrandfather), Ansel, Jane, Rebecca, and Elvira. His father was Thomas, a native of Delaware and of Irish parentage.
