Looking for information on the parents of David Nichols who was married to Margaret F. Nutter. On their marriage certificate it lists his as William and Elizabeth Nichols and hers as Sellathia or Selathiel and Unity or Nancy Nutter. The 1860 census for Clay County, West Virginia, lists Selathiel age 49, Unity age 46, Margaret age 15, Martha S. age 14. William Nutter age 20, Rebecca age 17.
Thomas Nutter age 36, Elizabeth age 37, David W. age 13, Elizabeth age 12, Ruena age 10, Hamilton age 7, Virginia age 5, Martha age 3, Caroline age 7 months.
Elijah Nutter age 39, Almarinda I or J age 19, Matthew A. age 22.
William Nichols age 65, Elizabeth age 55, David age 21, Washington age 19, Susan age 18, William age
16, Christina age 14, Elizabeth age 12, Elijah age 8.
Elijah Nichols age 39, Christena age 35, John age 12, William R. age 10, Mary J. age 6, Marion age 5, Benjamin F. age 3, James R G age 1, Emily J. Cobb age 12.
Rebecca Nichols age 20, Chila or child 1, Joseph Mullens age 60.
Selathiel and Unity Nutter and William Nichols, the parents of David and Margaret Nutter Nichols are my husbands great great and great great great grandparents and we would like to know more about them. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
