Hi Kimberley: My E-Mail address: qbhoffman@aol.com. Poor Kathi I neglected to tell her that Lucinda Nutt buried with Elias who I soon found out was not my ancestor had been a widow woman and her sons were step-sons of Elias. For some reason the San Joaquin Co. history makes it sound like just Fredericks came to CA and make no mention of Elias Nutt because he died so early. When I started to work on the family tree in the 1960's I, too, went to the Ripon cemetery. and when I saw the stone, NUTT Elias and Lucinda I thought she was my ancestor. I did quite a bit of talking to the old timers around Modesto & Ripon before I decided I would get Sarah Malvina's death certificate & I found ours was Mary Taliaferro(Toliver), I also got death certificate for her other daughter, Rebecca Crooks which gave it Mary Toliver and since have learned the french pronounce Taliaferro like Toliver so I guess the English changed the spelling.
