Re: Nutleys of Chicago
I am juststarting to research my fathers family tree. His name was William Peter Henry Nutley (b.5/12/1910, d.1/1974) who was the son of John Paul Henry Nutley (b.1988/9, d.6/1964 Chi.) who was the son of Peter Nutley (b ?, d. 1931 Chi.)
John Paul Henry Nutley was married to Margaret O'Connor and hehad the following brothers and sisters:
Peter married Angella Healy and owned or operated the Rose Sausage Factory. They had a son, Peter Jr. who was a distinguish cop in Chicago.
Charles married an Italian girl named Anne ?.
Lawrence married a Polish girl named Kate ?.
Mary(mamie) married a fellow with the last name of Bell.
Katherine married a fellow with the last name of Calahan.
Rose married a fellow with the last name of Gillespie.
The family story (1700-1800 ?) is that 7 Nutley brothers fled England due to their revolutionary movement (?) against the ruler of England to Ireland and later to the US.
All of the above has been told to me by various members of my Family (who are now deceased) and I have no documentation to support the above.
I belive, all of the above were born in Chicago and some are buried in EvergreenPark Cemetery, Chicago.
Is there a match to anyone's research reguarding the above ?.
