Sarah, wife of James Bunker, was the daughter of James Nute (Newte/Newt)born about 1617 in Tiverton, Devonshire, England and his wife Sarah ??? who was born in England about 1619. James died in Dover, NH in 1698. They were maried in Dover, NH in 1652.

James Nute and Sarah ??? had 6 children:
i. Leah Nute, born Abt. 1641; died 1726; married (1) John Knight; married (2) Benedictus Tarr.

ii. Martha Nute, born Abt. 1653; died 15 May 1718; married William Dame 1680 in Dover, Strafford, NH.

iii. Sarah Nute, born Abt. 1642; married James Bunker Abt. 1663 in Dover, Strafford, NH.

iv. James Nute, born 1643 in Dover, Strafford, NH; died 1691 in Dover, Strafford, NH; married Elizabeth Heard 1675 in Dover, Strafford, NH.

v. Abraham Nute, born Abt. 1644; died Aft. 27 August 1724; married Joanna (widow) Stanton 02 September 1704 in Dover, Strafford, NH.

vi. Mary Nute, born Abt. 1647; married George Huntress 1674 in Newington Church, Newington, Rockingham, NH.
