"Franklin David Nusbaum, 92, of Worthington, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1993, at Worthington Regional Hospital.
Born June 4, 1902, in Bloomington, Ill., he was the son of Dr. David and Grace Bailey Nusbaum. He married Ina Ostrom Nov. 15, 1930, in Sherburn. She died in 1936.
He moved with his parents to Storm Lake, Iowa, in 1904. In 1912 they moved to Jackson. He graduated from Jackson High School in 1920. He attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake and graduated from St. John's Military Academy in 1928 with a bachelor's degree. He farmed near Jackson from 1920 to 1940. He then moved into Jackson and was employed as a truck driver until 1962. He moved to Worthington and was the representative for the Sioux City Journal until his retirement.
Surviving are two sons, Frank Nusbaum, Wichita, Kan., and Gale Nusbaum, Port Jarvis, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Benson Funeral Home, Worthington.
The service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, Jackson, with the Rev. Bruce Carlson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Jackson."
