Looking for information on my great-great grandparents'line and relatives of Charles Nurse and Eliza. According to family records, he was of Scottish descent, born June 1842 in Guiltcross, Norfolk, England. Census records list him as a grocer, but family lore has him working as a jeweller.
His wife, Eliza, was born in 1843 in Bermondsey, Surrey, England, of Irish descent.
Their children were:
Eliza "Harriet", born 1872 in Islington, Middlesex, England. She married Daniel Albert Lambe (was this a second marriage for him?). They had 11 children.
Marie "Mariah", born 1874 in Islington, Middlesex, England. She married Joseph Poulton. Emigrated to the Campbellford area of Ontario, Canada. They had 11 children.
Elizabeth Maude, born July 3, 1878 in Bermondsey, Surrey, England, died July 2, 1964 in Campbellford, Ontario, Canada. She marred George Henry (Harry) Flint (died in February 1942). Emigrated to Canada in the early 1900s. They had 11 children. My great-grandparents.
Charles George Nurse, born 1881 in Bermondsey, Surrey, England or Camberwell, London, England. Emigrated to Australia. Census records list him as Charles G. Nurse. I have no other information on him.
Any information would be appreciated.
