I am able to update previously posted information regarding Narcissa Nunnery, daughter of Nehemiah Nunnery.
From my notes for Narcissa Nunnery Funderburk (now Sanford):
September 2004 - After years of searching for Narcissus Nunnery Funderburk after the 1880 census, I had assumed she passed away before 1900. Now, quite by accident, I have found her. In 1910, she is living with a daughter and son-in-law, Emma and Christopher Columbus Wadley in Milan, Tennessee. The census says that Narcissus bore 5 children, but that only two are living. These surviving children would be Emma Sanford and Neacy Funderburk. Little Miah has died and we may never know any more about him.
December 2004 update: Emerson and Narcissa were married in Pemiscot County, MO in the 1880's. Emerson's name shows as Samford in the marriage records. Narcissa was the widow of Robert Funderburk and Emerson was the son of Jennette (unknown) Samford / Sanford.
By 1900 they had moved to Gibson County, Tennessee and were living with their two children Emma (b. abt 1885) and Enoch (3/13/1893 - 12/5/1908) in Milan. Narcissa's daughter, Neacy Funderburk, had married Joseph E. 'Jody' Butler by this time.
In the 1910 Milan, Gibson County, Tennessee census, Narcissa and Emerson Sanford are separated or divorced and she is living with Emma and son-in-law Christopher Columbus Wadley.
In 1920, Narcissa and Emerson Sanford are living together again, still in Milan, and Emma and Christopher Columbus Wadley (b. abt 1874) live nearby and have children: Erin, Millard, Mattie, Eugene and Mary.
Narcissa died in 1922. I have been unable to locate any of the Wadleys after the 1920 census (except, possibly Erin). Would like to know what happened to this branch of the family.
Notes for Erin Wadley (unconfirmed if this is son of Christopher Columbus Wadley and Emma Sanford)
