Gary, there may be some relation here. The facts I have for our Sarah Nunn consist of her marriage to Jordan Abbott, the existence of her tombstone which is in Abbott-Darracott cemetary in Monroe Co., MS, which I have not seen yet, and census records. We know she was born in 1777 and died in 1839. We also have an 1860 census report of the household of her oldest son, Eli Abbott who lived in Chickasaw Co. MS on a place he named "Egypt" (born 1799 GA). The household includes an elderly man named Nunn reported as 75 yrs old. My researcher found the first name of this man to be illegible, but wondered if it could be "Earl?". I have a photocopy, but the quality is not very good. I hope to investigate this further. The dates would just about fit for this to be your Sarah Nunn's brother, Washington C. Nunn b 1789. Do you know if he might have traveled to NE MS? and do you have any other info on him I might use for comparison? Someone has given the info that she was born 12 Nov 1777, in Spotsylvania Co., VA, but I do not yet know whence this info came. (Just got started.) The LDS (Mormon) web site says our Sarah Nunn was born on or after 1779 probably in Chester Co. SC and died before 25 July 1856 in Monroe, MS From LDS records, her parents were John Nunn and Eliza Pratt. The submitter of this info to the LDS site was listed and I intend to write him. I am uncertain as to the reliability of the LDS records, since I have heard others on the forum question their accuracy. I would like to do some more research, and contact you again, if I may. I'm trying to trace back one step at a time and get as much documentation as possible for future generations. I appreciate your prompt reply.
