Elisa Almonacid Nunez

Elisa Almonacid Nunez, 80, of National City died July 3. She was born in Daraga, Philippines, and was the school district superintendent for the department of education in Olongapo City, Philippines. She served in the U.S. Army Forces Far East during World War II.
Survivors include her daughters, Rosa Bradford of Greenwood, S.C., and Mary Ann Nunez of National City; sons, Joel and Peternoel of the Philippines, Glenn of San Diego and Arleen of North Carolina; sisters, Flora Mendoza, Nelly Almonacid and Nemia Quezon, all of Daraga; brothers, Salvado and Jose of the Philippines; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services have been held.
Arrangements: San Diego Memorial Chapel.
