Looking for decedants of Jedediah "Dyer" Nuner and his brother William McMinn Nuner.
These brothers were born in Guilford Co., NC
and came to Arkansas in the early 1800's.
Jedediah was born in 1801 and William in abt.
1803.
They left Arkansas and went to Texas abt. 1835. Both fought in the Texas War of Independence. William was killed in 1840 in the Great Commanch Indian Raid at Plum Creek,
near Victoria Co., TX. Jedediah return to Arkansas and died there.
I looking for the burial site of William McMinn Nuner. There was an area there called Nuner's Mott and also a large tree known as the Nuner Tree. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. The spelling of the surname is also found as Nooner.
