Yes, I found Samuel, Elizabeth, George, Samantha, Mary C.,
John, Sarah in the 1850 federal census for Jackson Twp.
of Huntingdon Co., Pa. I am as puzzled as you are on this
one. I believe this is my family but can't verify it.
Samantha's death certificate did not mention her mothers
name but gave John as the father. Elizabeth (another
daughter) was born in 1852 so did not show up in the census.
Her death certificate and obit said the parents were
George and Mary Nonemaker/Nunemaker. It could be this is
the wrong household. In the 1860 census, you will find
the three girls in another household. One is with George
Steffey Family, Hugh Jackson Family and Samuel Barr Family.
I coud not find the two boys. With these families the
girls are listed as Ann, Catherine and Margaret. We
need a miracle to figure this one out. My grandmother
said there were about 12 or 14 kids in the family but
not all lived. They moved around so much in those days
that its hard to track them down. Elizabeth's obit says
she was born in White Deer Furnace around 1852. Samuel
could very well be a brother to George. Go back to the
census and scroll through Clay and Jackson Townships
for Nunemakers/Nonemakers as my family came from Huntingdon
Co., Pa. Good luck!
