Glad you could open the gedcom. Let me know what mistakes there are,if any. If you can add to that gedcom it would be great. I'm slowly looking at the NS Archives. I can't see the files, my Mac isn't supported by their software. The Jeremiah I mentioned might not even exist. I have no hard data on him just that some of the NUGENT's thought he existed.
When I was in Sydney Mines I heard stories about an Edward Nugent who was a policeman in NFLD who used to work close to the ferry that runs from St. Johns to Sydney, Family legend has it that he used to steer people to his cousin Michael's house in Sydney if they were a bit short of funds. Sgt Edward Nugent was supposed to have had a big heart and wanted to make sure they were OK even it meant that his cousin had to feed and put them up.
I have seen Edward Nugent, his children and a father-in-law in some of the directories but have not been able to tie these 3 Nugents you mentioned into the rest of relatives. I don't know where my info goes wrong but I think I have to go over it all again and try to authenticate it all. You've given me a good place to start. I'm ordering a few of the certificates offered online at the NS Archives to make sure every "" is crossed.
