Noyes DNA

The basic test covers something like 12 bits or whatever they are called.I've considered doing a test with Stewart Noyes who's line stems from a Robert Noyes of the late 1400's.His line is from William."OURS" is from a second Robert. The cost from Family Tree DNA is about $150 per test and at the moment eight of the Noyes family have signed up for tests.I haven't done all the research thus don't know just what the 8 will find or just how they might link in with us.I say "US" as my line is from Nicholas, John, and (have details somewhere but I think we split here).Had I had a son, Noyes cousins, or a link that will go forward, I'd be much more interested in DNA, but I'm the last of my slender branch.I passed on the suggestion to Paul Noyes as he has a brother and other family but got no comment back on the idea. Also my suggestions and recent eMails to Stuart in Andover England have fallen on deaf ears. Some 10 years ago we visited with Stuart and he gave us a tour of the Noyes sites around Andover. We have also visited the Littleton Manor that the Noyes family rented for about a 100 years starting close to 1500.CHEERS
