Hello Mr Noyes,
I sure hope this query will reach you..........
I am searching for information on the children of James Sargent NOYES and Harriett Newell [HUNTINGTON] both born in Vermont, both unmarried school teachers per 1850 GA censuses, and married living in Rome, Floyd Co GA
09 Jul 1860.
Their daughters Mary Alice and Jenny S. married brothers Judson CRABB and Jesse Oliver CRABB, respectively, in Polk Co GA where they remained for the rest of their lives.
Below are the census records for James and Harriett:

I did not find James or Harriett in 1900 although I did not check soundex spellings.
Judson and Jesse Oliver CRABB were the sons of John Calaway CRABB and Frances [YORK] who died before their children were grown.
I am especially curious as to why Judson was living with his future in-laws 4 years (or more) before he married - and whether there was a "kinnection" between the Crabb's or York's and the Noyes family....?
My heartfelt thanks for any information you may share,
Kathye
