Richard,
Yes, I have several Samuel's in my data base but not the one you're looking for.I know very little re Noyers of Owen Co. Samuel had at least the following children...Susannah, George, Louisa, Amos (either John Amos or William Amos), Aly, Lewis, and Henry.Margret died and he remarried an Angelina Unknown. There is an Amos and Joseph Neier that appear in the 1860 census Owen/Jackson that I would bet are probably brothers. The only birth for a Samuel that I have come across to this point is:
St. Johns Union congregation of Catawissa PA. (Columbia Co)
Samuel Neuer born Oct 18, 1824 s/o Daniel Neuer & Elisabeth.
usgenweb Owen Co, IN immigration notes that Neier (another spelling for Noyer) came from Schylkill Co. PA to Wayne Co, IN and then Owen. Wayne Co, IN has a Peter Nyer Noyer by 1840 living there through at least 1860. There are Neyer/Noyer records in Berks(Now Schuykill) before 1800. My family is in Northumberland (Now Columbia)-adjacent county- before 1800. I have recently acquired some wills for Berks. The early one is in german and working on getting it transcribed.
I would be very interested in what you know of Samuel.Perhaps we can figure the family connection out.
