1860 USC, 241/241, Dist. 2, Athens, Limestone Co., AL (not Lauderdale), Ancestry.com lists Tesse [sic; Jesse] Isbell. Harden Nolen & Jesse Isbell gave permission for marriage of Green Nolen to Eliza M. Isbell.:

Mary A. 24 Ala
William 20 Ala
Zachariahh 16 Ala
ELIZA 12 Ala
Nancy 10 Ala
Jason 6 Ala

Where the Nolens and Isbells lived was not the original issue posed to Glenn Nolen, but whether marriages he listed as having been performed/recorded in Lawrence Co., TN were actually performed in Lawrence Co., AL. He was asked to at least remove Marion Jasper Isbell's marriage to Martha Holt from his website list. This marriage is in Bob Alred's and my Zachariah Isbell md Margaret Brown line - not in Glenn Nolen's Godfrey Isbell>Henry Isbell line.
It was performed 11 March 1862 in Lawrence Co., AL.
