All Glenn Nolen had to do from the outset is what most prudent, serious genealogists do, and that is go to the source. Most would have said "Thank you for making me aware of a possible conflict; I'll check it out and get back to you." A few others appear to be more intent on 'shooting the messenger' than verifying data.

I've spent more than a week attempting to convince him to be a serious, prudent genealogist. In the meantime, Lawrence Co., TN records have temporarily closed beginning 2-20-2006 due to a move, so he will have to wait a week or so.
