Wow, that's a puzzler.I don't know anything of WIlliam Lister Hall. But George Galphin Nowlan the elder was dead four years in 1803, and George Galphin Nowlan the younger was 16.I wonder which one was the GGN mentioned in the will. And most curious, what is the connection with Suffolk County NY?
Google shows William Lister Hall in the extensively researched Spencer history, giving this citation:
"William Joseph Spencer was the executor of the will of William Lister Hall (29 August 1803; 21 July 1806) and one of the executors of the will of his uncle John Spencer (see above). He witnessed the wills of Christian L. Dasher of Effingham Co. (18 October 1808; 3 April 1809) and John George Zitterauer of Effingham Co. (5 September 1812; 1 March 1813)."
Odd connection here is that Christian Dasher and a whole slew of Zittrauers are connected to George Galphin Nowlan in this way: they're all married to Gugel women and are part of the Ebenezer community. But in the Ebenezer Church Records (a really valuable online resource) I find no mention of William Lister Hall.
Another funny connection here:Spencer document also refers to Clement Martin's illegitimate daughter. But Clement Martin's LEGITIMATE daughter Elizabeth is the wife and mother of the two George Galphin Nowlans! And also, Clement Martin in 1768 has a different illegimate daughter and has the kid baptized, you guessed it, at the Ebenezer Church.Clement Martin, incidentally, was the owner of Abercorn Island and passed it (or most of it) on to his son-in-law Geroge Galphin Nowlan.
However, in answer to your original question, sorry, i'm afraid I'm not much help here!
