It is now thought that there was no 3rd marriage for Anthony Nowers.

The Pluckley BT burial entry for Oct. 4, 1664 states "Mary wife of Anthony". This led researchers to think that he had married someone named Mary. However we now believe that either an error was made in the BT or Anthony's wife Ellinor was known as Mary. It was Ellinor who was buried in 1664 not another wife named Mary.
