Hello Sharon,
From the IGI (I have not checked the Dewsbury registers) I have found the following baptisms for children of George and Frances (or Fanny) NOWELL:
Abraham NOWELL (14 Jun 1801)
Elizabeth NOWELL (30 May 1803)
John NOWELL (3 Jun 1805)
Matthew NOWELL (18 May 1807)
Mary NOWELL (26 Jul 1809)
Thomas NOWELL (8 Sep 1811)
Jonathan NOWELL (30 May 1814)
Joseph NOWELL (7 Apr 1817).
Jacob NOWELL (2 Jan 1820)
I also noted, as you did, the marriage of George NOWELL and Frances RHODES at Dewsbury on 17 March 1794.
I am interested in Abraham NOWELL who was probably the Abraham listed above. He married Mary INESON (HINESON?) at Dewsbury on 7 June 1824.They had two children baptised at Dewsbury:
Adam NOWELL (18 Sep 1825)
Eve NOWELL (29 Apr 1827)
They also had a daughter, Fanny NOWELL, baptised at Chorley, Lancashire on 23 May 1841.I have yet to go back to the Chorley 1841 census to find other children of the couple.Mary INESON was a sister of my gg grandmother Alice INESON who married Joseph BLAMIRE at Dewsbury on 28 October 1827.They were also at Chorley in 1841 explaining why I have looked at the 1841 census there previously.
Abraham NOWELL and his son Adam NOWELL were killed on 18 April 1845 in an accident during the construction of the Ashton branch of the Sheffield and Manchester Railway. They were masons, as was my BLAMIRE ancestor.I have copies of the news reports of the accident from the "Times"
The name RHODES is also of interest to me.I think that the parents of Joseph BLAMIRE were Joseph BLAMIRE and Elizabeth or Betty RHODES who married at Dewsbury in 1791.Joseph junior was baptised at Dewsbury on 26 Oct 1806.
