I am also researching the Notons in Derbyshire,Sarah born 1817 daughter of Thomas Noton and Jane married Thomas Robinson Fletcher in Liverpool in 1843.They had a son James who was mygt.gt.grandfather.When Thomas died Sarah remarried to James Morton and had several more children.
Thomas Noton and Jane had a number of children some of whom I notice have been mentioned in previous postings on htis forum.
On her marriage certificate Sarah says that Thomas is a butcher her sister Fanny does the same in 1855 when she marries Abraham Holmes.Sarah's youngest brother Henry was also listed in one census as a butcher.
