DEWNES NOSWORTHY AND WILLIAM PINSEN, DEVON, ENGLAND
In the Virginia archives there is a notation that a Dewnes Nosworthy married Willaim Pinsen (Pinsten, Pinson and other variations)17 June 1611 at Ilsington, Devon, England. The document also states Pinsen was a "gentleman of quality" and he paid his own way to the Virginia Colony. He was not an indentured servant. He landed on the Virginia shore March 1623 in Elizabeth City County, Virginia. It states that he later sent for his wife Dewnes. Does anyone in the Nosworthy family know about this union and about the family in Ilsington, Devon, England. I descend through the Pinson line and would very much like to have this marriage documented.
